Honorable Justice Abdulla Hameed was born on 14 April 1973 in N. Henbadhoo, Republic of Maldives. He pursued his higher education in the field of law and teaching, completing his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in Law and Islamic Jurisprudence from Al-Azhar University in Egypt in 2003, and later obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Maldives National University in 2024. Justice Abdulla Hameed has filled a number of positions across the legal and academic fields, demonstrating extensive experience over the years. His roles have included serving as a Quran teacher at the Institute of Islamic Studies in 1996 and as a lecturer at Avid College in 2022. He served as a Judge at the Civil Court from 21 June 2004 to 9 December 2007, and thereafter as a Judge at the High Court of the Maldives from 9 December 2007 to 6 June 2022. In addition, he has filled the position of Senior Legal Counsel at the National Integrity Commission from 19 February 2023, and has also served as a member of the Judicial Service Commission of Maldives from 7 September 2011 to 6 September 2016.

Justice Abdulla Hameed has also conducted, on multiple occasions, training programmes on human rights and criminal procedure arranged by the Supreme Court of the Maldives, including programmes held in 2011 in AA. Rasdhoo, B. Eydhafushi, R. Ungoofaaru, GDh. Thinadhoo and HA. Dhihdhoo, and has been engaged in training programmes and seminars conducted both in the Maldives and internationally. His international engagements include participation in the ‘25th LawAsia Annual Conference’ held in Indonesia in 2012, as well as the ‘7th Regional Workshop for Judges, Prosecutors and Police Officers in South Asia on Effective Countering Terrorism’ held in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2013, and the ‘SAARC Regional Judicial Conference on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing’ held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in the same year. He has also participated in a judicial ethics programme, travelling to London, United Kingdom from 15 June to 19 June 2009 to gain further professional experience.

In addition, he has taken part in various law-related training programmes, seminars, and workshops, and is fluent in both English and Dhivehi.

ފަނޑިޔާރު ޢަބްދުﷲ ޙަމީދު އުފަންވެ ވަޑައިގެންނެވީ 1973 އަހަރު އޭޕްރީލް މަހުގެ 14 ވަނަ ދުވަހު، ނ.ހެނބަދޫ އަށެވެ. ފަނޑިޔާރު ޢަބްދުﷲ ޙަމީދަކީ ޝަރީޢަތާއި ޤާނޫނުގެ ދާއިރާގެ އިތުރުން، އުނގަންނައިދެއްވުމުގެ ދާއިރާއިންވެސް މަތީ ތަޢުލީމް ޙާޞިލު ކުރައްވާފައިވާ ބޭފުޅެކެވެ. މިގޮތުން 2003 ވަނަ އަހަރު މިސްރުގެ އަލްއަޒުހަރު ޔުނިވަރސިޓީން އެލްއެލްބީ (އޮނަރސް) ލޯ އެންޑް އިސްލާމިކް ޖުރިސްޕްރޫޑެންސްއިން ޑިގްރީ ޙާޞިލްކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ. އަދި އެމަނިކުފާނުވަނީ 2024 ވަނަ އަހަރު ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ ޔުނިވަރސިޓީން ކިޔަވައިދިނުމުގެ ރޮނގުން ޕޯސްޓްގްރެޖުއޭޓް ޑިޕްލޮމާ (ޕީ.ޖީ.ޑީ) ހައްދަވާފައެވެ.

މިދާއިރާތަކުން ނުހަނު ގިނަ ތަޖުރިބާ ތަކެއް ހޯއްދަވައި، ފަނޑިޔާރު ޢަބްދުﷲ ޙަމީދުވަނީ ގިނަ މަޤާމުތަކެއްވެސް ފުރުއްވާފައެވެ. އެގޮތުން 1996 ވަނަ އަހަރު އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް އިސްލާމިކް ސްޓަޑީޒްގައި ޤުރުއާން މުދައްރިސެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވާފައިވާއިރު، 2022 ވަނަ އަހަރު ލެކްޗަރަރއެއްގެ ހައިސިއްޔަތުން އެވިޑް ކޮލެޖުގައި މަސައްކަތްކުރައްވަން ފެއްޓެވިއެވެ. 2004 ޖޫން 21 ވަނަ ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެން 2007 ޑިސެންބަރު 09 ވަނަ ދުވަހާ ހަމައަށް އެމަނިކުފާނު ހުންނެވީ ސިވިލް ކޯޓުގެ ޤާޟީއެއްގެ މަޤާމުގައެވެ. އަދި 2007 ޑިސެންބަރު 09 ވަނަ ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެން 2022 ޖޫން 06 ވަނަ ދުވަހާ ހަމައަށް ހުންނެވީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ހައި ކޯޓުގެ ފަނޑިޔާރެއްގެ ގޮތުގައެވެ. ފަނޑިޔާރު އަބްދުﷲ ޙަމީދު ވަނީ 2023 ފެބުރުވަރީ 19 ވަނަ ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެން ނޭޝަނަލް އިންޓެގްރިޓީ ކޮމިޝަނުގެ ސީނިއަރ ލީގަލް ކައުންސެލްގެ މަޤާމުވެސް ފުރުއްވާފައެވެ. އަދި 2011 ސެޕްޓެންބަރު 07 ދުވަހުން ފެށިގެން 2016 ސެޕްޓެމްބަރު 06 ވަނަ ދުވަހާ ހަމައަށް ޖުޑީޝަލް ސަރވިސް ކޮމިޝަންގެ މެމްބަރުކަންވެސް ކުރައްވާފައިވެއެވެ.

އެކި ދުވަސްވަރުގެ މަތީން ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ސުޕްރީމް ކޯޓުން އިންތިޒާމް ކޮށްގެން މެޖިސްޓްރޭޓް ކޯޓުތަކުގެ މެޖިސްޓްރޭޓުންނަށް އަމާޒުކޮށްގެން ބޭއްވުނު އިންސާނީ ޙައްޤުތަކާއި ޖިނާއީ އިޖުރާއާތުގެ ޓްރޭނިންގ ޕްރޮގްރާމްތަކުގައި އެމަނިކުފާނު ހިންގަވާފައިވެއެވެ. މިގޮތުން 2011 ވަނަ އަހަރު އއ.ރަސްދޫ، ބ.އޭދަފުށި، ރ.އުނގޫފާރު،ގދ.ތިނަދޫ އަދި ހއ.ދިއްދޫގައި ބޭއްވުނު ޕްރޮގްރާމްތައް ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވެއެވެ. އަދި މީގެ އިތުރުން ރާއްޖެއާ ރާއްޖެއިން ބޭރުގެ އެކިއެކި ޓްރޭނިންގ ޕްރޮގްރާމްތަކާއި އަދި ސެމިނަރ ތަކުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެން ތަޖުރިބާ ހޯއްދަވާފައިވެއެވެ. މިގޮތުން 2013 ވަނަ އަހަރު ޕާކިސްތާނުގެ އިސްލާމްއާބާދުގައި ބޭއްވުނު 07 ވަނަ "ރީޖަނަލް ވޯކްޝޮޕް ފޮރ ޖަޖަސް، ޕްރޮސިކިއުޓަރސް އެންޑް ޕޮލިސް އޮފިސަރސް އިން ސައުތް އޭޝިއާ އޮން އިފެކްޓިވްލީ ކައުންޓަރިންގ ޓެރަރިޒަމް" ވޯކްޝޮޕް ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވެއެވެ. އަދި ހަމަ އެ އަހަރު ބަންގްލަދޭޝްގެ ޑާކާގައި ބޭއްވުނު "ސާކް ރީޖަނަލް ޖުޑީޝަލް ކޮންފަރެންސް އޮން މަނީ ލޯންޑަރިންގ އެންޑް ޓެރަރިސްޓް ފައިނޭންސިންގ" ގައިވެސް ބައިވެރިވެ ވަޑައިގެންފައި ވެއެވެ. 2012 ވަނަ އަހަރު އިންޑޮނޭޝިއާގައި އޮތް 25 ވަނަ ލޯ އޭޝިއާ އެނުއަލް ކޮންފަރެންސްގައިވެސް އެމަނިކުވަނީ ބައިވެރިވެ ވަޑައިގެންފައެވެ. އަދި ޖުޑީޝަލް އެތިކްސް ޕްރޮގްރާމެއްގައި ބައިވެރިވެ ވަޑައިގެން ތަޖުރިބާ ހޯއްދެވުމަށް 2009 ޖޫން 15 އިން 19 އަށް އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތުގެ ލަންޑަނަށް ވަޑައިގެންނެވިއެވެ. އަދި މީގެއިތުރުން ޝަރުޢީ ދާއިރާއާއި ޝަރުޢީ ދާއިރާއާއި ގުޅުންހުރި ޓްރޭނިންގ ޕްރްގްރާމްތަކާއި ސެމިނަރ ތަކުގައި އެމަނިކުފާނު ބައިވެރިވެ ވަޑައިގެންފައިވެއެވެ.

ދިވެހި ބަހުން ފަރިތަކަމާއެކު ވާހަކަ ދެއްކުމުގެ އިތުރުން ފަނޑިޔާރު ޢަބްދުﷲ ޙަމީދަކީ އިނގިރޭސި އަދި އަރަބި ބަހުންވެސް ފަރިތަ ކަމާއެކު ވާހަކަ ދައްކަވާ ބޭފުޅެކެވެ.
